1. Characteristics

Acidic silicone sealant is a one-component, moisture-curing elastomeric adhesive sealant that exhibits excellent adhesion to a wide range of common construction and decoration materials such as glass, aluminum alloy, ceramic tile, and most plastic substrates (excluding polypropylene and polyethylene). It is primarily designed for use in non-structural sealing scenarios including indoor and outdoor glass installation, window and door edge sealing, bathroom and kitchen gap filling, and decorative panel bonding, where it effectively prevents water infiltration, resists air leakage, and absorbs slight thermal expansion and contraction of materials. The application method is straightforward: first, ensure the bonding surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and debris; then cut the nozzle of the sealant tube at a 45-degree angle according to the required gap size, load the tube into a sealant gun, and extrude the sealant evenly into the gap, ensuring full filling without air bubbles; finally, smooth the surface with a tool dipped in soapy water within 5-10 minutes to achieve a neat appearance, and allow it to cure naturally for 24 hours (the full curing time may extend to 3-7 days depending on temperature and humidity conditions).
